Waradgery Drive
Success Over the Holidays
The owner at Waradgery Drive initially hired us to consult with him on minor renovations to prepare his home for sale. The home had been tenanted for a few years and no changes had been made since it was first built. Inside the rooms were beautifully proportioned and the house had a great layout but the colours and finishes were very dated. With a great deal of work in a short space of time he managed to transform the house into a home which was modern and bright.
Once he had completed the work on the house he then hired us to stage the entire property. His home was put on the market just before the Christmas holidays and despite a challenging time to sell, the house was sold prior to the New Year.
Fourth Avenue Rowville
A GREAT RESULT
The owners of this beautiful house in Rowville decided to remove all their belongings and have the home fully staged.
We provided the furniture, rugs, accessories, artwork, linen and lamps. Our team completed the installation over a few hours leaving the house ready for photos so it could go on the market immediately.
The owners were delighted with the result and had a very successful sale, the agent later stated that he believed the staging had raised the final sale price by $50,000.
Ringwood North Development
The owner of this three unit development in Ringwood North hired Hillside Interior Design to assist with the Interior finishes for these luxury units. In consultation with the client we selected the paint colours, flooring, cabinetry, tiles and stone. Material boards were prepared for the agents and once the units were complete furnishings were selected to present the units for sale

The Project:
In 2001 the property on this site was torn down and a beautiful new holiday house was constructed. We consulted with the builder with regards to the design of the home as well as the construction materials and the internal finishes. The interior was designed with a separate parents room, a large open family room and kitchen and a separate area for the teenager’s bedrooms complete with their own recreation room. The exterior deck joined all the areas creating a beautiful communal entertaining area.
This was a challenging build with council permits required for the removal of trees and working within the environmental requirements while still achieving the maximum amount of natural light. The floors were Tasmanian oak and the design had innovative walkways separating areas of the house and bringing in natural light. The result was a holiday house, which was structurally interesting and functional with a beautifully modern and relaxed interior.

The Project:
A Major Renovation
This house was an ongoing project since the renovations began in 2010. By the time the renovations were completed in 2012 the house was unrecognizable. The kitchen was moved to the other side of the house and replaced with a beautiful modern kitchen, complete with built in touch screen computer. The carpet was removed and spotted gum floors were installed from the entrance through to the family room. Hardwood stairs were installed and the existing staircase and balustrades replaced.
The Family room and Entertaining area
A stunning skylight was installed and bi-fold doors were put in; opening up to the new merbau deck and pergola. The existing wooden fireplace was removed and replaced with an energy efficient gas fireplace. The television was mounted over the fireplace and all the cables run through to the side cabinets.
The dining room and living room
New carpet was installed throughout and an opening created through the wall from the dining room to the kitchen. Old arches were replaced by modern squared openings and French doors were put in opening out on to the outdoor entertaining area.
The kitchen
The kitchen was moved to the south side of the house and designed to integrate all the appliances the clients desired. There was a built in touch screen computer, fully integrated coffee maker and a combination microwave. The bench was Caesar stone and the 3 bowl sink was rebated into the stone with stunning Italian tapware. A structural beam was required to install a large window overlooking the garden and acting as a back splash. It was an innovative example of modern design and technology.
Throughout the house new downlights were installed and all the window treatments were replaced with contemporary privacy blinds and roman blinds. A new modern door was installed at the entrance and the door hardware replaced with stylish new fittings.
Upon completion the house was a stunning contemporary home with beautiful architectural elements and a design that was a perfect fit for the clients’ lifestyle.
